SBM does not produce the payroll itself. SBM prepares everything your payroll program needs – hours, supplements, Equal Pay, industry supplements (Branchenzuschläge), holiday, sickness, working time account and advances – and hands it over, checked, to DATEV or Addison.

In temporary staffing, pay depends on the assignment, the collective agreement and the client. SBM collects these values where they arise and turns them into the monthly values for your payroll office or your tax adviser (Steuerberater).
SBM automatically splits hours into Saturday, Sunday, public holiday and night. Around 50 booking codes are mapped to wage type (Lohnart) codes.
SBM keeps track of holiday entitlement, remaining holiday and days of sickness; the working time account (Arbeitszeitkonto) shows plus and minus hours up to the upper limit.
You switch all employees to new collectively agreed rates from the effective date in a single step. SBM also handles advances and garnishments.
Online via DATEVconnect, as a file for DATEV Lohn und Gehalt or LODAS, or to Addison. Employee data can be imported from DATEV.
Errors in the timesheet should not go unnoticed until payroll. That is why SBM checks every employee before the handover and then locks the month.
Times come into the timesheet from the terminal, from the app or from the office. SBM calculates supplements automatically.
SBM flags days without hours, more than 12 or fewer than 2 hours, hours on days of leave, before the start date, after the leaving date or without a work site.
Before closing, SBM reconciles the values with DATEV and shows differences on both sides.
After the check, the month is locked; the monthly values go to DATEV or Addison as wage types.
Your payroll program produces the payroll and the social insurance notifications. SBM also maintains the required master data such as person group, contribution group and occupation code (Tätigkeitsschlüssel).

| Handover | Values retyped into the payroll program | DATEV or Addison via interface |
SBM is staffing software with payroll preparation, not a payroll program. Payroll is run in DATEV or Addison – in-house or at your tax adviser’s. Your payroll program therefore stays as it is; employees access their finished payslip as a PDF in the employee app.
DATEV is a registered trademark of DATEV eG. Note: General overview, not legal or tax advice.
